VACATION TO SEATTLE

I went to Seattle for a few days, the highlightof the trip was seeing the Lion King.
It was terrific !!!
I will post several pictures each day of the trip.

This is a picture of the mountain range and includes the props of the prop plane.

I used a shutter speed 1/8000 of a second to stop the action.

A river, not sure which one, I thought it was cool.

Okay, so this picture just looks black, right??? Well if you look closer and use your imagination, you can see a racoon eating the grain I put out today for the pheasants. It was 1:00 am and I didn't use a flash. I thought the moon and reflective light from the snow would help but as you can see, not much. This is the first time I have seen a racoon, it was kind of cool.

Tulips and Lilies NOW !!!

Here is the flower bed on the east side of my house. Doesn't look like much huh?

But with a closer look, yes that's right, tulips coming up yes today February 11. Mom always told me that they come up in February but I am always excited to see them. Mother Nature always knows when they should come up. UNBELIEVABLE !!!!!!!

Here is a closeup of some Lilies, I don't understand how they can come up when it is so cold. They are so fragile, yet can stand temperatures well below freezing.

New Garden Seeds Wow !!!!

Granite for the Salt Lake Temple

I went up Little Cottonwood Canyon (9000 S.) in Utah to take a few pictures of the Granite. This canyon is where they got the stone for the Salt Lake City Temple. I hope you can read the historical markers, they explain the great sacrifice the workers gave to transport the large stones 20 miles to the Salt Lake Temple site. Missy and I spent a few hours at this spot a few years ago. It is a great place to visit.

Anna Beth Baldwin

This is my Niece Anna. I spent some time with her, Julie and Devin this past weekend. She is so cute, and has such a sweet personality. She giggles when whe wakes up, she is so fun to be around.

My Mac desktop -- now

I wish I would have taken a picture of my desktop before I organized it. It probably had 50 icons on it. I usually put anything and everything on my desktop. But Devin taught me how to organize files in folders and gave me a few suggestions. Boy does that look good. (thanks Devin).

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is coming, may that day be filled with love and chocolate !!

Open Show Banquet

Here are a two of the pictures I took at a recent award banquet. People accumulate points throughout the year showing their horses. If they win one or more of the bowls, they get to keep the bowl for a year, and compete for it again this year. It was a great banquet and it was good to see the great people that make up this horse club.

He sits on his back legs and waves his front legs around.

It is the funniest thing to see.

It has a little frost on it, temperature 7 degrees.

Winter Cress

I planted this garden cress seed on Jan. 23 it is about an inch tall.

I will cut it with sissors and eat it on sandwiches when it grows a little more.

It is a lot like water cress, kind of spicy.

Maggie the Yorkie

This is my friend Barbara's dog Maggie II B, isn't she cute?

She is a very smart dog too.
