Flying Home from Seattle, what a ride !!!

The city of Seattle, what a view!!

Another picture with the prop, yes 1/8000 of a second.
Notice the yellow on the ends of the propeller.
Flying home from Seattle, this prop plane is the same type that crashed last week.
I was pretty worried about flying home.
The plane holds about 85 people, it is a very noisy plane.
It was good to have both feet on the ground.

VACATION TO SEATTLE

I went to Seattle for a few days, the highlightof the trip was seeing the Lion King.
It was terrific !!!
I will post several pictures each day of the trip.

Some cool cloud formations.

This is a picture of the mountain range and includes the props of the prop plane.
I used a shutter speed 1/8000 of a second to stop the action.

A river, not sure which one, I thought it was cool.

Getting ready to land, the city - the Space Needle

We had this weird broccli vegetable, Romanesco.
Originally from Italy from the 16th century. It tasted pretty good.

Granite for the Salt Lake Temple

I went up Little Cottonwood Canyon (9000 S.) in Utah to take a few pictures of the Granite. This canyon is where they got the stone for the Salt Lake City Temple. I hope you can read the historical markers, they explain the great sacrifice the workers gave to transport the large stones 20 miles to the Salt Lake Temple site. Missy and I spent a few hours at this spot a few years ago. It is a great place to visit.

Busy picture day

This is the Hazen Tree early in the morning.
It has a little frost on it, temperature 7 degrees.
Thanks for the lighting tip Devin !!!

Okay, so this is a perfect picture, blue sky, winter day. Nothing unusual right?

Then a few seconds later I took this picture, look at the spirit clouds in the picture.
Don't ask me what they are. Devin will probably know.
Shaker in fine form.

By the Snake River

I would love to live next to the Snake River, like my Aunt Carol does.
She sees all kinds of wildlife, all year long.
